Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on October 28th, 1967 in Atlanta. Roberts is part of an extended family of Robertses, the 4th generation to live in the Atlanta region, beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. At an early age, her father started to be interested in the theater. When he was a student at Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus as well as elsewhere in Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force. He was stationed at Biloxi the Mississippi coast, he was a part of the production of Betty Lou Bredemus. They were married in 1955. Their first child, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter and his wife left the military in 1957, when they enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The family moved in 1960 and relocated to Decatur Georgia. The year 1964 was when Walter along with Betty Lou began production on an on-sunday morning local children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies which they funded by themselves. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for six years. They welcomed in 1965 two new children: Lelisa Billingsley as well as Julia Billingsley.
